Department of ME-VLSI

Department of ME-VLSI

M.E. degree course on VLSI Design with intake 18 students provides just that to aspiring postgraduates from all branches of Electrical Sciences. The post graduate in engineering programme spread over a short span of 4 semesters aims to train professionals in specialized areas and is constantly evaluated and upgraded to reflect the latest scientific and technological advances.the department works with 2 fold target of creating congenial and conductive academic ambience for future career and to create a pool of man power who can carry out R&D activities. The course structure prepares students for the existing and emerging jobs in the application of information systems and technology to plan, analyse, design, construct, maintain and manage projects/ products.

Our mission is to develop innovative and novel concepts into the minds of younger engineers and infuse scientific temper in the engineering students and guide them towards research in the field of Electronic and communication Technology and also to develop collaborative Research and Development with leading organizations in India and abroad. Also to produce committed and social responsible electronics engineers.

Laboratory Facilities

  • Spectrum Analyzer Lab
  • MAT Lab Laboratory
  • TMS Kit Laboratory
  • GPS Kit,VLSI,XILINK Laboratory
  • Advanced Fiber optic communication Kit Lab

To cater to the practical inputs required by the programme, a VLSI Design Laboratory equipped with several up-to-date VLSI CAD tools like ORCAD, MICROSIM, SABER and FPGA/PLD has been setup. The curriculum of the programme is so designed that students from all branches of Electrical Sciences have scope to learn and develop new algorithms for testing VLSI systems. The curriculum consists of core courses devoted to the design basics of VLSI designs, the hardware description languages and CAD tools. The elective courses are oriented towards imparting specialized knowledge and skills in the use of advanced VLSI design techniques for the different disciplines within Electrical Sciences. The students devote their final semester entirely to project work. Department of ECE.

Department Library

For the benefit of the Department staff members and students, a separate library has been installed in the department. It has more than 200 volumes of technical books on 50 titles on various subjects. 15 National and adequate International Journals (including IEEE Journals) have been subscribed for the department library and subsequently they will be sent to the Central library. The library also has a reading hall that can accommodate about 25 people.
