Department of Computer Science and Engineering

Department of Computer Science and Engineering

Computer systems directly or indirectly play a vital role in every aspect of day to day activities. Computer scientists and engineers design, build and improve these systems, finding new applications for sophisticated technology.

Determine just how much information you can store on any memory device, figure out what instruction a computer needs in order to turn on and move information around, design cables which link computers together to form networks, develop peripheral computing devices such as printers, modems, scanners and digital cameras. It is a constructive science with experimental and mathematically theoretical sides. Computer scientists study, build, analyze and report on new designs for computers, databases, communication systems, programming languages and algorithms for programs. This department was established with an aim to create socially responsible, strong minded technocrats in Tamilnadu in general and in Tiruchirappali particularly.
